Toni and Oded Elyashar National Incubation Center

The National Incubation Center was established to increase the return of animals to the wild by improving the odds of successful hatching for birds and reptiles, with an emphasis on endangered animals.

Eggs are collected during nesting season from various breeding centers and brought to the Biblical Zoo, where they are incubated under optimal conditions. Upon hatching, the young receive treatment until they are independent enough to emerge into Israel's wilderness.

Many nature conservation partners have joined together at the center to save animals which have almost disappeared from Israel's wilderness, such as the Griffon vulture, the Lesser kestrel, the Ferruginous duck, the Negev tortoise, and others.
